Helping Students Find the Right Path Through Golf

Golf Program in Schools (GPS) is a partnership with schools, communities and golf professionals founded for the purpose of improving the lives of children.

The program gives students an appreciation of the game of golf, including golf basic like grip, posture, and swing. Students also learn about college scholarships and golf careers in the six-day classroom instruction. A field trip to a golf course is a highlight.

GPS emphasizes life lessons found in golf, like honesty, integrity, and courtesy. GPS showcases concepts that influence how we live, work and play:

  • Respect
  • Good Judgment
  • Persistence
  • Self-Assurance
  • Etiquette and Composure
  • Personal Repsponsibility
  • Energy
  • Positive Play
  • Safety
